Safety Level of Italian REER Safety Light Curtain

Security level and main features:
According to the EN954-1 EU standard, the safety products are divided into five different safety levels B, 1, 2, 3 and 4. Its security has been continuously improved from B to 4.
Class B and Class 1 safety products are mainly based on safety standards and select safety components to ensure safety.
Level 2 safety products do not have a self-test function, but they can accept external “test” signals for self-test. However, its "self-test" cycle is long, and mistakes between the two "self-test" cycles can lead to loss of safety functions.
Level 3 security products have their own self-test function and have a short cycle. There are two safe output signals mutually self-checked, and an error between the two "self-test" cycles will not result in the loss of the safety function.
Level 4 security products have the shortest cycle self-test feature. Both lines from the detection to the output are self-tested by each other and can be detected even before the error occurs. If the accumulation of the error signal does not exceed 3 hours, the safety function is not lost.

Safety light curtain:
The light curtain is divided into the transmitting end and the receiving end. Each LED of the transmitting end and the receiving end has the same number of LED points. The light curtain receiver constantly sends a self-test through the controller. When the light curtain light is blocked, the receiver generates a disconnection signal. The light curtain The product that controls the emergency stop and disconnects the device at the same time to achieve protection safety. Resolution: 14mm (finger), 20mm (palm), 30mm (palm), 40mm (palm), 50mm and above (arm and leg)
Safety Rating: 2 and 4 minimum protection height: 160mm
Maximum protection height: 1800mm
Maximum distance between emitter and receiver: 60M
Certification: CE, TUV, UL

The so-called "safety relay" of a safety relay is not a "relay without fault", but is a regular action in the event of a fault. It has a forced-guided contact structure and ensures safety in the event of a contact fusion. It is completely different from general relays.
Safety relays are used for automatic control. In general, emergency relays, safety gates, security gratings, and other input devices require safety relays for control. The main difference between the safety relay and the normal relay is that the safety relay can detect the input, output or some of its own fault status, and then exclude it.

Where are the safety relays used?
The design of a safety circuit for controlling the input of a contactor and the like after confirming the safety with an input confirming the safety of the machine.
The safety relay must be used for the following safety circuit requirements:
1. When the emergency stop is released, the machine cannot restart suddenly. 2. In the event that the machine safety circuit fails, the machine power supply can be stopped. 3. When the safety circuit fails, the machine can no longer be started. Security level: 2, 3, 4 Level input supply voltage: 24 VAC/DC; 120VAC, 230VAC
