LGA775 still occupies two-thirds of the territory

LGA775 still occupies two-thirds of the territory The LGA1366, LGA1156, LGA1155, LGA2011...Intel processors have been changing their package interfaces in recent years, but the LGA775 that has been running for many years is still unstoppable. Even today, gradually eliminated, LGA775 accounted for as much as 65% of Intel desktop processor shipments, mainly including Core 2 Quad, Core 2 Duo, Pentium, Celeron and other series.

The LGA1156 for mainstream and low-end markets was once considered the LGA775 second, and also covered the four major series of Core i7, Core i5, Core i3, and Pentium, but with the replacement of the Sandy Bridge family platform, 27% of the current shipments The proportion is already at its peak. It will fall back to 22% in the first quarter of next year and it will begin to retire.

The Sandy Bridge Core ix-2000 series that was replaced with LGA1155 is naturally the main force next year, and now it has begun quietly and fully shipped, taking a 2% share, and will quickly rise to 60% in the third quarter of next year. The LGA775 will fall to 25% at that time. In other words, there will still be a quarter after one year.

Atom also has a place in entry-level desktops and mini-computers. The 5% ratio is always stable and there will be no changes for the whole year next year. Because of the narrow market, the LGA1366 Core i7 high-end platform will stay at around 1% for a long time, and will be replaced by the legendary LGA2011 in the second half of next year.

Intel believes that although the LGA775 Core 2 processor is still the first choice of many users, the LGA1156 platform has not been able to attract them to upgrade, but Sandy Bridge, like Pentium, will eventually win their favor.
