1 The function of this instruction is to find the average of consecutive [n] numbers starting with the operand specified by [s], discard the remainder, and store the result in the destination operand [D]. When the component address number is exceeded, n is treated as a small value in the possible range. The execution process is shown in Figure 6-75(b).
