In fact, Interlagos is a package of two Valencia chips, just like the current relationship of the Opteron 6100/4100 series.

Considering that server processors generally do not need too high a frequency, the problem currently facing bulldozers is that the frequency is difficult to improve. Therefore, it is entirely possible for AMD to prepare a 12-core, 16-core server version bulldozer in advance.

AMD's words are likely to suggest that the first batch of bulldozer architecture Opteron processors may only have a standard version, HE low-power version, SE high-performance version may have to be able to keep up with later.

Phil Huges declined to confirm whether Valencia will also be released in the third quarter. The Opteron 4100 series was released several months later than the Opteron 6100 series.

In fact, AMD originally intended to change the practice, first released a new desktop processor architecture, but unfortunately the progress was blocked, it looks like it has to return to the first server, after the desktop of the old routine.
