Compared with foreign countries, China's research investment is obviously insufficient, research power is scattered, and research work lacks continuity. Coupled with the problem that equipment, technology and information cannot be effectively shared, the core technology research and development has not formed a synergy, and the lack of effective The integration of individual technologies and the promotion of industrial and engineering support platforms that are mature in technology and engineering cannot form a rational allocation and centralized investment of independent innovation resources.

Secondly, the development of the industrial chain is not balanced, the scale of the company is weak and the innovation ability is weak, and the high-end market is occupied by international companies.

Although China's LED industry has successively realized its own production of devices, chips and epitaxial wafers, its self-produced LED epitaxy and chips are still dominated by medium and low-grade products, and the industrial scale is small. Due to the rapid advancement of semiconductor lighting technology, involving many industries, in the marginal zone of multidisciplinary industries, and insufficient investment in the research and development of testing equipment and testing methods, the standards and testing systems for semiconductor lighting have not yet been formed, and there is no An authoritative testing platform for semiconductor lighting products. Due to the great technical differences of LED products, there is no professional authority, unified testing institutions and certification standards, coupled with the enthusiasm of local governments, and eager to develop local enterprises, resulting in uneven product quality, seriously affecting consumer confidence.

Finally, there is a lack of policies for the development of the photovoltaic industry.

The United States, Japan, the European Union, etc. have taken a series of measures to promote the application and promotion of semiconductor lighting. Compared with foreign countries, China has no relevant industrial promotion policies or no implementation rules, and lacks corresponding measures to support industrial development. In particular, core equipment and key raw materials are highly dependent on imports. Excessive import tariffs and value-added taxes have seriously affected the reduction of manufacturing costs and the expansion of scale of domestic upstream epitaxial chip companies.
