Cement is one of the key industries for Hubei's carbon emission quotas. The active “carbon trading” has greatly stimulated the transformation of energy-saving and environmental-protection technologies of local cement companies, and cement environmental protection has developed rapidly.

In recent years, Huaxin and Gezhouba have respectively launched the “enclosure” movement, and the concentration of cement industry in Hubei Province has continuously increased. Up to now, four cement companies such as Huaxin, Gezhouba, Yadong, and Jinglan have accounted for more than 70% of the province's market share, of which Huaxin Cement accounts for about 28%.
