According to statistics from CSA Research, in 2014, the overall scale of China's semiconductor lighting industry reached 350.7 billion yuan, a 36% increase from the 257.6 billion yuan in 2013, and continued to maintain rapid growth. Among them, the LED general lighting market broke out completely, with an output value of 117.1 billion yuan, an annual growth rate of about 68%, and the proportion of the application market also increased from 34% in 2013 to 41% in 2014. China's lighting industry has entered a new era of LED lighting.
As the manufacturing base of global lighting products, China's export situation of LED lighting products has entered the medium-to-high-speed growth range from the high-speed growth stage. CSA Research's analysis of customs export data shows that the total export value of LED lighting products in China in the first half of 2015 was about US$5 billion, a 16% increase from the first half of 2014.
From the year of Q1 2014 to the year of 2015, the year-on-year growth rate has been declining. The year-on-year growth rate has dropped from 143% in Q1 2014 to 8% in Q2 in 2015, showing a straight downward trend. The reason for this decline is mainly in 2015. Foreign trade is in the transition period of growth rate and the transition period of structure. After a substantial increase in 2013, the growth rate of Q2 from 2014 to 2015 plummeted, which is also normal. It is expected that the export growth rate will gradually stabilize after 2015 and the fluctuation will be small.
In recent years, more and more enterprises have entered the export army of LED lighting products, and competition has intensified. According to customs export data, at present, there are nearly 10,000 LED lighting products export enterprises in China, and the price of LED lighting products has dropped by about 70% from the beginning of 2012 to the first half of 2015.

CSA Research's export data for customs can get a total of US$2.545 billion in the first half of 2015, an increase of US$700 million from the first half of 2014, an increase of 16% year-on-year. In fact, from 2011 to 2014, in the situation that China's overall foreign trade exports have gradually shrunk, LED lighting products have outperformed and have maintained a super-fast growth of over 30%.
From 2014 to 2015, the export growth rate of China's LED lighting products has eased from 2011 to 2013. From the US$340 million in the first quarter of 2011 to US$2.764 billion in the first quarter of 2014, the total export volume has almost tripled. However, since the second quarter of 2014, the export growth rate has begun to decline. In the second quarter of 2015, the total export volume reached 2.6 billion US dollars, and the export growth rate was 8%.
