Power supply circuit for driving microprocessor with LT1587 and LT1431S - Power Circuit - Circuit Diagram

Figure (a) is a microprocessor power supply circuit constructed using LT1587-3.45. Figure (b) is a regulated power supply with adjustable output voltage using LT1585. Figure (c) shows the microcomputer power supply using LT1584 and LT1431. The LT1584, LTl585, and LT1587 have an output current of 7A, 4.6A, and 3A. They are the most suitable regulator for driving microprocessors. They have high-speed over-responsive characteristics, load regulation of 0.5%, and thermal breakdown protection circuitry. The basic application circuit is very simple. When the output voltage is fixed, only one capacitor is connected to the input and output terminals. When the output voltage is adjustable, connect two resistors for setting the output. The capacitance of the input and output can be very small.
