Principle of storage water heater


The storage type electric water heater refers to a fixed appliance that heats water, which can store hot water for a long time or temporarily, and is equipped with a device for controlling or limiting the temperature of the water. The household commonly used water storage type electric water heater is easy to install and the price is not high, but it needs to be heated for a long time and can be used after reaching a certain temperature.

The working principle of all thermal storage electric water heaters is the same. The cold water enters the bottom of the storage tank by the pressure of the pipe network. There are heating pipes in the barrel, thermostats, timers, etc. to control the heating pipes. When the cold water is slowly heated, the hot water is heated. The specific gravity is lighter than cold water, so the hot water will float on the inside of the barrel. If the hot water tap is turned on, the cold water will enter the barrel due to the atmospheric pressure, and the hot water floating on it will come out.

The storage type electric water heater is divided into two types according to its export type: closed electric water heater and open electric water heater. The enclosed electric water heater controls the amount of water at one or more valves at the water outlet and operates under tap water pressure. This type of water heater has the advantages of flexible installation position, high water pressure and low heat loss. However, because the inner tank works under pressure, thicker materials are required, and the manufacturing process is required to be high; the outlet of the open electric water heater is open, and a valve on the inlet pipe controls the amount of water. Such water heaters work under normal pressure, so the requirements for the production of the liner are relatively low and the structure is relatively simple.
