Internet data company YouGov recently released a new survey showing that among iPad users, 17% of respondents said that they have two or more tablet devices at home.
The survey involved a total of 1667 respondents, of whom 782 said they had an iPad tablet. Of the 782 people, 145 (about 17%) said that they have two or more tablet devices in their homes.
Of the respondents who had more than one iPad, 37% said that they purchased the second tablet device because the other half had been “dominantly†occupying the iPad; 17% said it was because of family members’ use; Another 14% said their children are using iPads. This means that a total of 68% buy the second tablet because their iPad is always used by the family.
The survey did not indicate whether the second tablet owned by these users is an iPad or other branded tablet. But the survey pointed out that 69% of users who want to buy a second tablet will choose iPad, and only 24% will choose Amazon's Kindle.
