Apple applied for patent for multi-layer transparent OLED superimposed display device in the US

[Higher LED News] According to the US Patent and Trademark Office, Apple has submitted a patent application called "Multilayer Display Device" to the US Patent and Trademark Office. The application file describes a screen with multiple transparent layers, each with a separate graphics processor that allows you to view 3D images without glasses.

Apple's solution is a multi-layer display system that can be superimposed by multiple transparent OLED screens to create multiple levels of image for a virtual depth of field. Moreover, the use of OLED panels will have advantages over conventional display devices. OLED panels do not require backlighting, so they can be made thinner and have higher brightness; OLED panels have higher grayscale and contrast.

In addition, Apple describes how to make 3D technology a major advantage of Mac OS X: display directories, open applications, desktop icons, and desktop backgrounds on different display layers. For example, the currently selected application is displayed on the panel close to the user, while the inactive application is displayed in the second layer that is farther away. The user can adjust the brightness of the front panel to highlight the selected picture. The brightness of the secondary panel is automatically lowered to make it easier to highlight active applications.

For the Curved Led Screen, if you use the traditional horizontal led module that can take a lot of  problems such as large seams, the Curved LED screen screen cabinet body arc is not smooth, cannot adapt to large arc situations. Therefore, in order to ensure that, we would like to use the vertical led module to achieve better smoothness on the surface, and easy to assembly into a large arc curved Led Screen.
