Littelfuse , a global leader in circuit protection , today announced the introduction of the 463 Series NANO2® fuse, a fast- acting , ultra-high current fuse designed for high-current applications. Compared to the company's existing 456 Series NANO2 fuse design, it has a higher thermal cycle tolerance and can withstand 500 thermal cycles at extreme temperatures (-30 ° C to +80 ° C). This avoids false disconnects due to thermal cycling faults in high current applications. The 463 Series offers circuit protection in high current applications, ultra high current rating (up to 500A@72VDC), and a compact (10.1mm x 3.12mm x 3.12mm) surface package to save board space. Its low temperature ramping performance and excellent temperature stability make it ideal for data communications and telecommunications equipment such as high-speed servers, base stations, power supplies, and blade computing applications.
