Silego Introduces Dual-Channel Full-Feature Load Switch with Double Current and 4.5A Current

March 17, 2014 in Santa Clara, California Silego launched 16mΩ dual channel Green FET based Silego a sub-micron copper process technology, the power FET 3 load switch product that is SLG59M1527V. The load switch has a maximum current of 4.5A per channel and a total current of 9.0A. And Silego Cu FET TM technology is used to achieve low on-resistance, minimum form factor and improved reliability.

The SLG59M1527V is a full-featured dual-channel load switch in a 14-pin, 1.0x3.0mm STDFN package. Each channel can be individually enabled. Under dynamic load conditions, the device features a linear voltage ramp that can be independently adjusted by an external capacitor. The SLG59M1527V can switch from 1.0V to 5.5V while maintaining a continuous current of up to 4.5A per channel. The load switch also features a discharge circuit, overcurrent limiting protection, short circuit protection, and thermal cut-off protection.

"The dual 4.5A load switch allows the system's primary and secondary power switching to be implemented in a single device." Silego's vice president of marketing, John McDonald, mentioned that Silego is the industry's smallest load switch, measuring just half the size of previous generation switches and meeting the space efficiency of Silego's customers.
