However, Xu Dongsheng, secretary-general of the China Household Electrical Appliances Association, believes that there are essential differences between the two policies. The focus of the leader system on energy efficiency of household appliances is not to stimulate consumption, but rather to guide the industry to improve energy-saving technologies.

After three years of "breaking shells"

Experts expect that policies may have some financial incentives but should be used with caution
