Once again "slimming" Osram's German factory will lay off 200 people

According to foreign media reports, OSCO, a plant in Troinreuth, Germany, will lay off more than 200 people, with administrative, logistics and production staff being the most affected.

Siteco was successfully acquired by Osram in 2011 and currently employs more than 1,000 people, mainly producing indoor and outdoor lighting systems for commercial customers and some retail customers.

The move is another cut after Osram’s “skilled and simple administration” in North America, part of its report on re-adjusting luminaires and solutions. According to the company's statement, these traditional lighting repair services business cuts will take effect in the next six months.
