LTE chip maker Serken Communications Inc. and semiconductor supplier STMicroelectronics (ST) jointly released a new LTE tracking and positioning platform using both technologies. The new product naming CLOE, the acronym for ConnecTIng and LocaTIng Objects Everywhere, brings together two industry-leading Internet of Things (IoT) technologies in a fully functional platform to simplify The development process of the LTE network IoT tracker is aimed at all vertical markets such as logistics, consumer electronics, and automobiles.
Designed specifically for OEMs and ODMs to increase the tracking and positioning capabilities of STMicroelectronics, CLOE integrates Seken's Monarch LTE Cat M1/NB1 chip and ST's Teseo III Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) chip to create industry-leading Mobile communication and satellite tracking performance.
