Tegra stationed in the car tablet can also play PC game masterpiece

As we mentioned before, NVIDIA CEO Huang Renxun’s speech today is almost entirely about Tegra and the Asus Transformer Prime TF201 tablet. In addition to re-emphasizing the performance and features of Tegra 3, Jen-Hsun Huang also took the legendary FPS player Fatal1ty and showed off a new Splashtop application.

The Splashtop application allows users to use Tegra 3 tablets to run some PC game titles such as Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Battlefield 3. Of course, the capabilities of the Tegra 3 tablet are not enough to run these works. The Splashtop application is to make the Tegra 3 tablet as a remote control terminal and to "play" with a PC equipped with a GeForce GTX graphics card.

At the end of the keynote speech, Huang Renxun also mentioned that Tegra series SoC processors are about to enter some famous cars: NVIDIA has already reached agreements with Tesla S electric cars, Audi and Lamborghini, and uses Tegra to build the car entertainment system of these famous cars.

Finally, NVIDIA also pointed out that the hardware used by Microsoft to showcase the Windows on ARM platform today is based on Tegra 3 products. Judging from some of the trial experience, Metro's interface operations such as sliding have been very smooth, and NVIDIA's developers are ready to go, waiting for further optimization after the release of the Windows 8 Beta.
